I only say maybe suck because Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson managed to make an acting career out of his wrestling one, and while several of his early films sucked, some of them were okay, too. So John Cena, you get the benefit of the doubt for now. IGN has posted the trailer (there’s also an embed below) for you to check out and judge for yourself. Truth be told, my interest in this film begins and ends with Tommy Carcetti (though Ashley Scott provides some added incentive as well), so I couldn’t care less how Cena does. Sorry, but I’d grown out of my wrestling phase by the time he got big, so until I see a decent acting turn from the man, I remain largely uninterested in his body of work. There is something to be said about mindless action flicks though, and Renny Harlin seems to thrive on them. Who knows, maybe this might not suck. 12 Rounds opens on March 26th.
