Well, it certainly looks like Edgar Wright is getting a whole slew of interesting up-and-comers to fill out his ensemble cast for Scott Pilgrim.

THR reports that Brandon Routh has been cast as evil ex-boyfriend #3, Todd Ingram, whom Scott Pilgrim must defeat to officially date the girl of both his literal and figurative dreams. Meanwhile, Brie Larson (who can currently be seen in Showtime’s promising new series from Diablo Cody, United States of Tara) has been cast as Envy Adams, the ex-girlfriend who broke Scott’s heart and the current girlfriend of Routh’s Todd. Oh, what tangled webs we weave!

Also joining the cast:

• Mae Whitman, who you might remember as Michael Cera’s girlfriend Ann from Arrested Development, as the fourth evil ex-boygirlfriend Roxy Richter;
• Alison Pill as Kim, the drummer in Scott’s band the Sex Bob-ombs (who wants everyone else to forget that she dated Scott briefly in high school);
• Mark Webber as Stephen Stills, the final member and frontman of the Sex Bob-ombs;
• Anna Kendrick as Scott’s younger sister Stacey;
• Johnny Simmons (who you can catch in theaters right now in Hotel for Dogs) as devoted Sex Bob-omb fan Young Neil;
• and Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, the first evil ex-boyfriend and summoner of demon hipster girls.

Well, this is certainly shaping up to be an intriguing bunch, and there’s still 4 more boyfriends to cast! Stay tuned, as more details are sure to emerge.
