Director Shawn Levy’s really putting together one hell of Date Night for stars Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Mark Wahlberg and James Franco headline a very impressive slew of talented actors to sign on the the project. Also joining the ranks are Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji P. Henson, and Kristen Wiig. The film revolves around a married couple (Carell and Fey) who find themselves in danger when their routine date night goes horribly awry.

Wahlberg will play a successful and excessively buff securities expert who flirts with Fey’s character, while Franco will play a bumbling con-man and criminal. Meester will play the couple’s babysitter, Common will play a villain, Henson will play the only cop who believes they’re actually in danger, and Wiig will play Fey’s best friend. Shrek the Third writer Josh Klausner wrote the script for the flick, which is set for a 2010 release.
