Marketsaw has once again delivered us some sweet Avatar updates, this time in the form of two pieces of concept art from the film.

After getting the OK from Fox, they’ve put up the two images. These seem to reflect the old scriptment fairly well, so I’m not sure if that means they were made using that as a basis, or if the final shooting script just happens to be a pretty faithful adaptation of the scriptment. In either case, these could be construed as “spoiler-y” (but not really), so just a warning.

The first pic is a look at the Powersuit we saw a few days ago, but in better detail. You can get a pretty good idea of scale here, and it seems the suit made it from concept to actualization without any major changes. Note the downed copter in the back, which appears to be a Samson, a lightly-armed transport craft in the Avatar world.

This second image not only showcases a new Avatar vehicle (probably one of the Dragon gunships), but it depicts an aerial chase sequence that was described in the scriptment. In the background, you’ll notice a few bansheerays in hot pursuit, which are native creatures on the planet Pandora. If you look closely, you can also make out what appears to be a rider atop the beasts…
