SPIDER-MAN 3’s Sandman Joins JOHN CARTER OF MARS?
Hot off the heels of news that X-Men Origins: Wolverine’s Gambit and Silver Fox would be playing the leads in Finding Nemo and WALL-E director Andrew Stanton’s live action directorial debut, John Carter of Mars, we learn that none other than Thomas Haden Church, aka the best part of Spider-Man 3, may also be joining the cast.
In an interview with Jeff Lyons for Reel Talk, Church said that he’ll “probably” do a “huge science fiction drama” called John Carter of Mars, and that it’d be “a very dramatic role.” Church doesn’t elaborate on what role he’d play and, unfortunately, Lyons doesn’t follow-up either. Church, who played Sandman in Spider-Man 3, is an extremely dynamic actor and someone who’s always fun to watch no matter if he’s playing the good guy or bad guy. You can catch the video below, which is actually a pretty good chat and they talk about a bunch of Church’s past and upcoming projects. The John Carter bit hits around the 2:30 mark.
