The Dish: The Game Joins A-TEAM As B.A. Baracus? Jessica Biel In THOR?
So, two pieces of casting rumors for you today. First up, in perhaps a wacky bit of casting rumor news, a “highly reliable source in the entertainment industry” has exclusively told BlackFilm that The Game is being considered for the role of B.A. Baracus in Joe Carnahan’s upcoming adaptation of The A-Team. Common has been the long-rumored favorite for the role originated by Mr. T, but his dancecard may conflict with A-Team’s shooting schedule. One thing to remember is “being considered” is far from a lock to play the role – dozens of actors can be considered for the role, with The Game just being one name among many. Still, it’s an interesting possibility to contemplate. He hasn’t had a bevvy of film roles to showcase his talent, but he certainly does have the attitude (which was partly the problem in ruining what could’ve been one of the best rapping duos ever). We’ll keep you posted on this one.
Also, an unnamed source over at Nuke The Fridge has claimed that Jessica Biel is currently in talks to join Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Thor. If that’s the case, Biel would definitely be the first household name to join the cast. The source was unsure of the name of the character Biel would play, but certain that she would be a love interest of Thor’s and would be a character from the animated Hulk vs. Thor. The first instinct of Thor fans would be Jane Foster, a nurse and girlfriend of Thor’s alter ego Donald Blake. However, considering that Foster didn’t appear in Hulk vs. Thor and that it’s been widely reported Branagh’s Thor would take place strictly in the Asgardian world, a more likely candidate would be Sif. The two main female characters in Hulk vs. Thor are Sif, an Asgardian warrior that Thor falls in love with, and Amora the Enchantress, a powerful sorceress who joins Loki’s evil cause when Thor rejects her love. Just which one she’ll ultimately play (if any at all), remains up to speculation for now.
