LET ME IN Casting Rumors, Concept Posters
Some news regarding Matt Reeves’ upcoming Let Me In, which is based not on Let The Right One In but the original novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist that the Swedish film adapted:
First off, Moviehole reports that Kodi Smit-McPhee is up for the male lead in the love story of a 12-year old human boy and a vampire girl. There isn’t a quote from Smit-McPhee directly in the article, but the actor reportedly thinks his chances of being cast are “looking good.” As we reported before, the American version will be set in a Reagan-era Colorado, and though the two main characters will remain 12-year olds, they have been renamed Owen and Abby (as opposed to Oskar and Eli).
In addition to the casting rumors, /film recently got sent a few posters for Let Me In that are apparently promotional concepts used to sell the movie in international markets. However, the “Based on the award winning original Let The Right One In” and “A remake of the award winning Let The Right One” taglines being sported by two of the posters lead me to believe they’re actually just fan mock-ups, and a somewhat misinformed fan at that. Whatever the case may be, they’re still pretty awesome and definitely worth checking out. Here’s a taste below, and head on over to the /film article to check out the rest:
