Wanted star James McAvoy has signed on to his first project since the 2008 action hit. He will star in the Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg-produced comedy I’m With Cancer. Based on the life of screenwriter Will Reiser, the movie casts McAvoy as a 25 year-old who is diagnosed with cancer. Nicole Holofcener (Friends with Money, Lovely & Amazing) will direct, and Rogen will also have a role in the film. This film has an interesting mix of talent, and I’m curious to see how it shapes up.

Indie thriller Little Murder has rounded up a cast for its post-Katrina tale. Josh Lucas, Terrence Howard, and Lake Bell have signed on to the project, which Yugoslavian director Peter “Gaga” Antonijevic will helm. Set after the devastating hurricane, the story centers around a disgraced detective (Lucas) who is given a shot at redemption when the ghost of a beautiful cellist (presumably Bell) solicits his help to solver her murder. I really like all three of these actors, so I’m hoping this one turns into something worthwhile.
