**UPDATED!** Aaaaaaaand….We’re Back! Plus, Win Some WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE Prizes!
UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who participated in our contest! We’ve selected a winner and have sent them a message notifying them of the win. Please check your inbox/Twitter/Facebook as YOU may be the one who’s won! We had a great response this time, so we’ll be sure to let you guys know when we host another giveaway!
Original story follows:
It’s long overdue, but we’re finally making our return!
Relocating our offices was a process that took a little longer than expected, but after clearing that hurdle (along with some issues getting our internet access re-established), we’re back. We’ve made a few minor tweaks here and there, but have survived the big move otherwise intact. Sorry to have kept you, our loyal readers (or maybe even some new ones), out in the cold for so long, but hopefully you’ve been able to follow all the action in the movie business through our Twitter page. Now that we’re set up and ready to rock once again, you can expect your usual dose of regular updates to come in packages slightly larger than 140 characters.
And to show you just how much we missed you, we’ve got some cool stuff for you to win! More details after the jump.
The kind folks over at FILTER magazine are once again sponsoring a giveaway, this time for the immensely-anticipated (at least among those with, you know, a soul) Where the Wild Things Are. What can you look forward to scoring?
- One WTWTA tote bag featuring the character of Carol (voiced by James Gandolfini)
- One WTWTA original soundtrack, featuring new and original songs by the very talented Karen O from the very awesome The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
- One WTWTA iPod skin (not pictured).
- One WTWTA paper crown.
Yup, one lucky winner will score all that! The only restriction for the giveaway is that you MUST be living in the U.S. So how do you win? We’re making it really simple for you guys this time around by giving you three ways to do so:
1. The first option is to simply leave a comment below (with your e-mail address!).
2. Alternatively, you can also follow us on Twitter and Retweet the following:
Please RT! Win WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE schwag from @cinemaverytasty ! Details here: http://bit.ly/DLkWs
3. The last option is to become a fan of us on Facebook and then post the following message to your Status Update:
Win WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE schwag from @cinemaverytasty Details here: http://bit.ly/DLkWs
*Note: You have to manually type out “@cinemaverytasty,” and only after you’ve become a Fan. A drop-down menu should appear as you type, from which you should select “cinema, verytasty” in order to get a clickable link to appear in your update. This is the only way we will know that you have posted about us, so please be sure to do it!
We will randomly select a winner from all of the entries. But here’s the kicker — each method of entry counts as a separate chance to win. This means you can potentially enter up to three times, and after crunching those numbers, we’ve figured out that three chances are in fact better than one (or none). The contest will run until October 11th at 11:59 PM PST, and then we’ll notify the winner on October 12th. If you’re leaving a comment, be sure to include your e-mail address. That’s the only way we can reach you if you win, so you must include it for us to be able to contact you. It will be kept completely private and we will only e-mail you if you win. If the winner is selected from Twitter or Facebook, we will message you through those sites.
Where the Wild Things Are is in theaters on October 16th, but you can buy a copy of the official soundtrack (if you don’t win here, that is) starting September 29th.
So that’s that. Thank you again for your patience through our hiatus, and we apologize for any feelings of abandonment or crushing self-doubt we may have unintentionally incurred. We’d repay you with poems of love and bouquets of flowers, but we know you’re really just here for the WTWTA schwag. We hope it helps.
