A new red-band trailer for Youth in Revolt has debuted on FunnyorDie, and it’s the best of the many we’ve seen so far. Based on the book by C.D. Payne, Youth in Revolt stars Michael Cera as Nick Twisp, a cynical, sex-starved, 16-year-old virgin who falls for intellectual Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday) while vacationing in a trailer park. When he fails to woo her, he invents an alternate persona named Francois that is everything he is not: a deep-voiced, attitude-totin’ player/bad-ass. However, when Francois’ surprisingly successful antics for winning Sheeni over turn Nick into a wanted man, he must figure out how to get out of trouble and get the girl all by himself.

The film also features Jean Smart, Jonathan B. Wright, Steve Buscemi, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Long, Rooney Mara, and Ray Liotta. Youth in Revolt is scheduled for release on January 8, 2010.
