Chuck has been a fan-favorite among TV shows since it premiered two seasons ago, and has spawned loyal and fervent action that culminated in the successful “hey, networks kinda actually sorta listen to us!” Save Chuck campaign. Despite some narrative flaws, the sheer enjoyment factor and watchability of it is something that fans continually adore and critics, for once, actually get.

Somewhere around the first third of season 2, Chuck made the surprising (and some would say, inexplicable) transition into much-watch TV (and what is it about season 2 that makes it the most common season where shows turn from “mm, maybe I’ll tune in,” to “I’m there!”? Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, Weeds… I can think of half a dozen more examples just off the top of my head, but that’s an article for another time). The show hit its stride and suddenly became unmissable, gaining a momentum that I hope (and believe) will carry over into the much-anticipated season 3. Now, there are still 31 more unbearable days until Chuck’s January 10 two-hour premiere, but to tide us over until then, NBC.com has released this 6-minute Season 3 Super Preview. It gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what to expect in the new season with the show’s stars, as well as previewing some of the great guests (Brandon Routh, Kristin Kreuk, etc.) that will be appearing on the show.

Chuck renews its title as Tallest Cast on TV when it returns on NBC Sunday, January 10 at 9/8c for a special two-hour premiere, before moving back to its usual time on Monday, January 11 at 8/7c.
