Warner Bros. has released a teaser trailer for Louis Leterrier’s Clash of the Titans, a remake of the 1981 fan favorite. Gone are the low-rent but somewhat endearing effects you may remember — this is fully a modern day blockbuster.
Sam Worthington stars as Perseus in this retelling of the Greek myth, and the teaser pours plenty of sweeping action sequences on our eyeballs. CG effects and nasty creatures abound, and it looks like Leterrier’s really cranked up the level of epic-ness for this one. I know there are a lot of folks who love the original and may be turned off by what they see here, but really, how else were they going to remake a fantasy tale of this scale? I, for one, remain excited about this project. The creature design looks great and the general look of the film is quite impressive. I’m always up for some big budget swords ‘n sandals ass-kicking.

Get it while it lasts, folks, cause there’s no way this is staying up for long! A low quality version of the trailer for Prince of Persia: Sands of Time has popped up on YouTube ahead of any official debut. Disney’s been privately previewing the trailer to some movie and video game sites, but this is the first time any footage has actually surfaced online.
The leaked version will no doubt be yanked soon, so watch it after the jump while you still can. Its presence should mean that the official high quality version will be up any day now, either in theaters or online somewhere. Catch the YouTube version now if you want an early peek at the epic-ness and awesome adventure this trailer is selling. I can’t wait to see this in better quality, but for now I can say that Disney could have another massive hit along the lines of Pirates of the Caribbean on their hands.
