Anyone excited for this movie yet?

Whether you are or not, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li is coming on February 27th. Fox has released a bunch of images to promote it, and I’m sorry to say that it’s been hard for me to get excited for this one. Like many of you, I had a good time playing the games growing up, but I haven’t seen an interpretation of that universe that has worked as an idea for a feature film yet. The trailer, while not disgusting, doesn’t look particularly mind-blowing either. I do like Moon Bloodgood though, which is probably the only reason I’m remotely interested in this movie.

The photos highlight resistance members Blair Williams (Moon Bloodgood), who is a battle-hardened soldier dealing with survivor’s guilt that brings Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) to the Resistance base; and Barnes (played by Common), who is another soldier and one of John Connor’s closest friends.

Always cool to see more photos of the cast revealed, but when are we gonna get a better look at some of the Terminators? And can we please stop calling this the “other big robot movie” next to Transformers 2? When done right, the Terminator series has always been about the people more than the robots.
