Steve Carell And Tina Fey In The Action-Packed (?!) DATE NIGHT Trailer by Ryan on 11 Nov 2009 | Comments

I thought Date Night was supposed to be a relationship comedy?

The trailer for the Shawn Levy-directed flick starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey seems to prove otherwise, as we get an action-packed couple of minutes featuring gangsters, gunshots, and car chases galore. I’m suddenly less enthusiastic about the film itself, but the superb cast is still enough to keep me at least cautiously curious. After sharing so many comedy nights on NBC together, we’re long overdue for a Carell-Fey pairing.

Hit the jump to see Carell and Fey, as well as Common, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, and Mila Kunis start some ruckus in the Date Night trailer. Apple also has it in HD.

Latest DESPICABLE ME Teaser Promises Supervillain Hijinks, Antics by Roy on 5 Nov 2009 | Comments A new teaser has arrived for Despicable Me, an animated comedy featuring Steve Carell as the world’s #2 supervillain, Gru.

The first teaser for Despicable Me was amusing enough, but didn’t entirely enlighten us as to its plot. The second teaser sheds a bit more light, but it’s still fairly vague when it comes to story. It paints the story as if Gru is on a mission to unseat Vector, the apparent #1 supervillain in the world. However, according to the official synopsis, the film actually follows Gru on a mission to steal the moon, a mission that gets interrupted when he runs into 3 orphaned girls and they see in him something no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad.

by Roy on 13 Nov 2008 | Comments The trades are reporting that Steve Carell has been cast as the lead voice in Universal’s 3-D CG animated film Despicable Me. Joining him are the voice talents of Will Arnett, Jason Segel, Kristen Wiig, Danny McBride, Jermaine Clement, Russell Brand, Jack McBrayer, and Julie Andrews – all very funny people (catch Andrews in Victor/Victoria if you don’t believe me). The story follows Carell’s character Groo, who conceives a plot to steal the moon. His plan runs into trouble when three orphan girls come under his care and refuse to leave.
